CBT THERAPY
What is it?
HOW WE
FEEL
WHAT WE
THINK
HOW WE
BEHAVE
CBT allows us to explore the maintenance of our problems, i.e what keeps us feeling the way we do. Identifying the root cause of our problems allows us to understand why we may have adapted our thinking styles and the way we behave over a period of time. Often the way we have adapted our thoughts and behaviours to cope can actually become part of the problem!
CBT offers a framework to work on our cognitions (thoughts) and behaviours (actions).

CBT is collaborative and proactive.
It's team work, I'll bring my knowledge of CBT and you bring your knowledge of you!
WHAT THERAPY MIGHT LOOK LIKE...
We meet in the initial sessions to get a really solid understanding of your problems. Agree that CBT is the most suitable approach.
We collate all our information and map out how these problems may be linked. We look out for things that might be maintaining the problems.
We use evidence based techniques and protocol to break unhelpful cycles, learn healthier ways of doing things, challenge yourself and understand how to maintain progress made.
We create a relapse prevention plan and discuss therapy ending.
